【英会話】頭部MRI撮影　編

外国人患者を対応する際、緊張しますよね。
ですが、心配する必要はありません。会話はパターン化されていますし、相手も理解しようと協力的です。完璧な文法や正確な発音でなくても、表情やジャスチャーを加えると、伝えたい内容はほとんどの場合伝わります。少しの準備と経験を積むことで、対応可能です。

その「少しの準備」とは、具体的には一連の会話を想定して練習することです。キーワードやフレーズを使いこなせるようになれば、会話がスムーズに進みます。

コツは細かいことを英語で伝えないことです。「私のポーズを真似してください。」など汎用的なフレーズを使いましょう。

このシリーズでは、検査毎に外国人患者と診療放射線技師との間の会話を、日本語と英語のセットで記載します。

今回はMRI検査を想定しています。検査時間が長いので、トイレの確認をしておく必要があります。

また、金属の確認漏れがあると患者の生命に関わってきますので、英語版の金属のチェックシートを作成するなど準備を万全にする必要があります。

発音の確認は、Google翻訳の読み上げ機能を使って確認しておいてください。

上記のように多くの説明をしなくても、きっと伝わります。
重要なのは伝えるという気持ち（ジェスチャー含め）です。
キーとなるフレーズを知っていればよりスムーズに進むでしょう。

たとえ十分な練習をしても、実際に話す一歩を踏み出すのは難しいかもしれません。

そのため、オンライン英会話をおすすめします。週に2回、3ヶ月程度の受講で充分です。

3ヶ月では英語力が大きく変わるわけではありませんが、以下の2点を学べます。

１．繰り返し使うフレーズはすらすらと話せるようになる
２．自分の不完全な英語でも通じることを実感できる

特に、自分の英語で十分に通じることを知ると、自信がつきます。もし通じなければ、それは相手の理解力が足りないとさえ思えるようになります。普段、英会話の教師は理解してくれてるんだから。
